The Seed of Inspiration
The idea for Narcisa Art Studio sprouted from a love for Ikebana's simplicity and depth. Ikebana, after all, is more than arranging flowers, it's about creating balance, respecting nature, and finding beauty in minimalism. Inspired by its philosophy, I wanted to create a studio where this art form could be shared with others, inviting them to experience not just the visual beauty but the meditative, calming effect of creating something unique with nature.
After spending over three years immersed in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana, life took me in different directions. But years later, during a time when I felt the need to reinvent myself, my mind flew back to Ikebana, almost as if it had been waiting for me. Embracing it again was effortless, like reuniting with an old friend. I found myself drawn back to the art, creating arrangement after arrangement with renewed passion. I couldn't stop; each creation felt like a fresh start, an expression of everything I'd missed and everything I was becoming.
Embracing Fusion Ikebana
At Narcisa Art Studio, we celebrate Fusion Ikebana, which is our way of marrying the ancient traditions of Ikebana with a contemporary twist. Fusion Ikebana lets us break free from conventions, blending traditional forms with unexpected elements to create arrangements that feel fresh and modern. This approach has allowed us to bring Ikebana into new spaces and make it accessible to a wider audience, from beginners to seasoned flower enthusiasts.
Our Fusion Ikebana style is inspired by the principles of traditional Japanese Ikebana, such as asymmetry and simplicity, but we also incorporate elements that reflect modern influences, cultural inspirations, or specific design elements. By doing so, we're able to create unique arrangements that speak to today's design preferences while honoring Ikebana's roots.
